Why everybody should Decompress!!!
There are no guarantees in life except "death and taxes" which is a phrase used ever-so-often. There is one other guarantee to everyone born on our big ball of dirt (Earth), that is GRAVITY. It pulls us down onto earth at an alarmingly powerful rate of 9.8 meters per second squared (m/sec2). Gravity is the most common cause of Low Back Pain! It is also the most common cause of falls! (Think about that one).
Unless you are an astronaut, or you are starting to grow gills (like fish), there is no way for you to avoid the effects of gravity. You can minimize the effect of gravity on your weight-bearing joints by strengthening your spinal core musculature. But the only thing that reverses the effects of gravity is spinal decompression. The major contributory factor for all disc bulges, herniations, spinal stenosis, and neck/low back surgeries is Gravity. (That's with a BIG G). It is what makes every human being get shorter as they age! (Your discs make up about 6-8 inches of the average person's height and you will lose anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of your disc height throughout your lifetime.)
So, how does decompression reverse this progressively degenerative process? Simple, when you decompress the spine, you rehydrate the intervertebral discs that have dried out due to gravitational compression. Like I said.... you can't avoid gravity. Someday, every man and woman on earth should be receiving decompression to decrease the likelihood of the most common cause of disability in the world (post-operative low back pain). The second most common cause of disability is pre-operative low back pain. Operations don't fix this problem..... Decompression does!!!
